This visualization aims to explore the noise complaint in different neighborhood by different time in Manhattan. It is visualized based on three dimensions - geographic (neighborhood distribution), time (time distribution) and attribution (noise type). Move the mouse around different types of complaints to explore the distribution. This visualization uses the noise complaint in one month is 311 complaint data. According to the NYC government, you can make complaint about noise from your neighbor including the dog barking, loud TV, moving furniture, and traffic on the road. Understanding the noise complaint in the city helpes the urban planner and governer understanding the noises that the land use may make and the tolerance of the residents.
